Lucknow’s iconic La Martiniere College is set to open its historic gates for an enriching heritage walk on 20th June, led by none other than Atif Anzar, the passionate founder of Lucknow Heritage Walks.

Set within the majestic grounds of Constantia—the Indo-European architectural marvel built by French adventurer Major General Claude Martin—this walk promises a deep dive into stories, architecture, and secrets that have stood the test of centuries. Organized by Immersive Trails, the guided tour will begin at 8 AM, leading participants through the college’s sprawling campus, from its secret tunnels and ancient cannons to lesser-known sites like the Gori Bibi’s Tomb, the Lat, and the College Chapel with its exquisite stained-glass panels.

La Martinière is the only school in the world to be awarded battle honours for its pivotal role in defending the Lucknow Residency during the 1857 uprising. Visitors on the walk will discover how students and staff turned the campus into a fortress during those trying times, and how the legacy of Claude Martin continues to live on through the architecture, archives, and legends woven into the very bricks of the building.
