LDA To Develop 10 Well-Planned Sectors In Upcoming IT City Project

Lucknow's IT City Project to Revolutionize Urban Development

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is all set to transform the city’s urban landscape with its ambitious IT City project. Spread across a sprawling 2,858 acres between Sultanpur Road and Kisan Path, the project promises to be a game changer in terms of infrastructure, investment, and job creation.

As part of this futuristic vision, the LDA will develop 10 well-planned sectors within the IT City, each designed with meticulous urban planning principles to support sustainable growth, smart infrastructure, and high-tech connectivity. These sectors are expected to house a mix of IT parks, commercial complexes, residential areas, green spaces, and institutional zones.

In a major step forward, the construction of the grid road network—a vital backbone of the IT City—is set to begin next month. This grid system will ensure seamless intra-sector connectivity and will be integrated with the city’s existing arterial roads, making it easier for commuters and residents to access the area.

Dedicated corridors for public transport, cycling tracks, and pedestrian walkways will also be incorporated, keeping in mind the modern urban mobility needs. The IT City project is expected to attract leading technology firms and start-ups, thereby generating thousands of employment opportunities. With its strategic location and advanced infrastructure, it is being positioned as a new economic hub not just for Lucknow, but for the entire Uttar Pradesh region.

LDA has emphasized that sustainability will be at the heart of this development. Provisions for rainwater harvesting, waste management, and green building norms will be strictly followed. The aim is to create a clean, green, and tech-enabled township that sets a new benchmark for urban development in India.

As groundwork begins and development unfolds, Lucknow’s IT City is set to emerge as a beacon of progress, innovation, and planned urbanization in the coming years.
