Sahitya Park and Ayurveda Park are two ambitious theme-based parks that the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is planning to construct as a major step towards enhancing the city's cultural and wellness fabric. These creative initiatives seek to serve as hubs for engagement, education, and awareness for both locals and visitors in addition to offering recreational areas.

Sahitya Park: A Tribute To India’s Literary Greats

Sahitya Park, a unique area devoted to honouring India's rich literary traditions, is planned to span 15 acres in CG City. The goal of this cultural park is to create a lively tribute to the great authors, poets, and intellectuals who have influenced Indian literature, especially those from Uttar Pradesh.

In addition to a digital gallery that will use touchscreens and interactive information to appeal to younger people, the park will feature a contemporary library with a vast variety of books in Hindi and regional languages.

To bring literature to the public, an amphitheatre will frequently organise mushairas, book launches, storytelling sessions, and kavi sammelans.

Ayurveda Park: A Green Haven For Holistic Living

With an estimated ₹10 crore expenditure, LDA plans to create the first Ayurvedic-themed park in Lucknow, spanning 6.5 acres, in Basant Kunj, to complement the literary theme of Sahitya Park. This park seeks to raise awareness of the therapeutic benefits of Ayurvedic plants and lifestyles while promoting traditional Indian wellness practices.

Over 20 types of Ayurvedic herbs and shrubs, such as tulsi, aloe vera, ashwagandha, giloy, neem, brahmi, and turmeric, will be cultivated across themed plantations.

In addition, the park will have gazebos, yoga lawns, walking paths, an open gym, and a kid-friendly play area, making it the perfect place for a family outing.

Health presentations, yoga classes, and wellness seminars will be held at the amphitheatre. Additionally, a canteen with nutritious Ayurvedic food and drink will be constructed.
