Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (Amausi Airport) is all set to operate round the clock, offering 24-hour landing and takeoff facilities. The construction and upgradation work that temporarily restricted night operations will be completed by August 15, paving the way for normal services to resume from August 16.
The airport has been undergoing extensive infrastructural upgrades, including runway strengthening, advanced lighting systems, and improved navigational aids. These improvements will not only boost safety but also increase the airport’s capacity to handle more flights, especially during late-night and early-morning slots.
With 24x7 operations back in place, airlines are expected to introduce additional flight schedules, improving connectivity between Lucknow and major domestic as well as international destinations. Passengers can look forward to more flexible travel options, reduced congestion during peak hours, and smoother operations overall.
The move is also likely to benefit cargo handling and business travel, positioning Lucknow as an even more important aviation hub in North India. Airport officials have assured that all safety protocols and passenger amenities are in place to support the extended operating hours.
From August 16 onwards, whether it’s an early-morning departure or a midnight arrival, travellers will be able to fly in and out of Lucknow without time restrictions — marking a significant milestone for the city’s growing aviation sector.
