Lucknow’s connectivity network may soon get a major boost, with the proposed 250-kilometre, six-lane “Vigyan Path” now included in the State Capital Region (SCR) Master Plan.
Being planned by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), this project aims to link Lucknow directly with nearby districts, including Hardoi, Sitapur, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, and Unnao.
As per reports, once developed, the corridor could reduce travel time from these districts to Lucknow to just 60–75 minutes. This would lead to easing traffic congestion and paving the way for new industrial, educational, and residential growth along the route.
The inclusion of Vigyan Path in the SCR plan marks a forward-looking step toward better regional integration and infrastructure planning for Lucknow. Moreover, it will also strengthen the capital city’s position as a key economic and educational hub in North India.
