In an effort to boost tourism in Uttar Pradesh, the state government plans to begin operating a helicopter service from Lucknow to Dudhwa National Park on November 25. With this new service, tourists will only need to spend 1 hour in the air instead of 4.5 hours on the road.

Every year, millions of domestic and foreign tourists go to the reserve, which is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including tigers, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and various birds.

A one-way helicopter ride will cost ₹5,000 per person for tourists. JetServe Aviation Tourism Ltd. and the government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to start the service.

The state's Minister of Tourism and Culture, Jaiveer Singh, declared that the chief minister had mentioned the necessity of helicopter services to provide access to important ecotourism destinations, including as the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, and Dudhwa National Park. Operating out of Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, the helicopter service will land at the Palia state government airfield.

It is anticipated that the helicopter service would increase the number of visitors even more by offering convenient access to these well-known wildlife locations. To encourage tourism in the state, the state administration is preparing to expand helicopter services to its popular tourist locations.
