New IndiGo Route: Direct Flights from Lucknow to Srinagar!

In order to avoid the intense heat of the rest of India, tourists, families, and travellers from all over the country swarm to the chilly highlands of Jammu and Kashmir as the summer season approaches. IndiGo opened a new direct route between Lucknow and Srinagar on March 30 in an attempt to tap into this market.

Travel time will be greatly shortened with the launch of these direct flights between Srinagar and Lucknow, which will benefit pilgrims, business travellers, and tourists alike. It is anticipated that the improved connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir will boost economic prospects and encourage tourism.

While Lucknow is known for its rich history, breathtaking architecture, and recognised cuisine, Srinagar, sometimes referred to as "Paradise on Earth," is a haven for leisure visitors, offering famous sights like the tranquil Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens, and lovely houseboats. This new route will greatly increase business travel between Srinagar, a major economic hub in Jammu and Kashmir, and Lucknow, a major commercial and educational hub in Uttar Pradesh.

Both towns also have great spiritual value; Srinagar is a gateway to the Amarnath Yatra and other pilgrimage sites, while Lucknow is home to holy places like the Bara Imambara. For religious visitors, this is an essential link.
