Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, took part in the "Bharat Shaurya Tiranga Yatra" in Lucknow on 14th May at 6 in the morning. The protest, which started outside the chief minister's official residence at 5 Kalidas Marg and went up to 1090 Chauraha, was characterised by fervent shouts and a sea of flying national flags. The purpose of the yatra was to celebrate the bravery of the Indian military, which successfully carried out "Operation Sindoor" following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 innocent civilians.

Centurion Defence Academy students simultaneously carried a two-thousand-foot national flag in a procession. The people continued to be drawn to this national flag.

Speaking to a crowd at the event, Chief Minister Yogi expressed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian military for "Operation Sindoor"'s success. Yogi went on to commend the Indian military's valour, saying, "The operation sent a clear message to the world — we do not provoke anyone, but if provoked, we will not spare anyone."

With the tricolour raised, hundreds of Delhi residents, politicians, BJP officials, and students marched down Kartavya Path on 13th May to kick off the Tiranga Yatra campaign. The BJP wants to make the yatra a widespread people's movement, thus it is being viewed as more than just a party project. In order to attract younger audiences and spread the campaign's message online, the party also intends to hire social media influencers and host press conferences across the country.
