Lucknow’s Famous Hazratganj To Undergo An Extensive Renovation!

One of Lucknow's most famous and historic markets, Hazratganj, is about to get a much-needed makeover.

Awadh's tradition will be reflected in the upcoming renovation of Hazratganj market. Plans are in place to give the area a unified, culturally rich appearance by coordinating the colours and styles of the buildings and signage.

Divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob stated that little adjustments would be made to the existing building colours to create a cohesive, heritage-inspired appearance that would draw tourists. Proposed colour schemes and consistent signage designs were also on exhibit.

Prathamesh Kumar, vice chairman of the LDA, urged traders to assist in clearing haphazard hoardings. He also revealed plans for beautifying projects, such as putting new, eye-catching dustbins and repainting benches, bollards, and railings. 

The proprietors of Hazratganj's shops, offices, and businesses have now been ordered to use consistent black-and-white signboards. Many store owners have already cooperated, but some haven't changed their eye-catching signage yet.

Concerns regarding unresolved difficulties from metro construction, including underground wiring, sanitation, and sewage and drainage issues, were voiced by traders. Jacob gave the concerned departments instructions to inspect the site and promptly address any problems. She promised to introduce a new cleaning system run by a private business.
