Lucknow to Get 52 Festival Special Trains to Ease Holiday Rush!

With the festive season around the corner, Indian Railways has announced the operation of 52 festival special trains from Lucknow to handle the surge in passenger traffic. The decision comes in view of the massive rush expected during Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja, when thousands of travelers head home to celebrate with their families.

According to officials, these special trains will run on various long-distance routes connecting Lucknow with major cities across the country. The initiative aims to provide relief to passengers struggling with waitlisted tickets and to ensure smoother travel during the peak season.

Routes covered are prominent destinations in Bihar, West Bengal, Delhi, Maharashtra, Punjab, and other states. The trains will operate throughout the festive period from late September to November. Reservations for these trains can be made online via IRCTC and at ticket counters.

Railway authorities have also appealed to passengers to book their tickets at the earliest to avoid last-minute inconvenience. Special arrangements are being made at stations to manage the heavy footfall, including increased security, better crowd management, and enhanced amenities.

The move is expected to benefit thousands of people traveling from Lucknow to their hometowns and back, ensuring that the joy of festivals is not dampened by travel woes.
