Through development projects valued at more than ₹400 crore, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) plans to modernise the state capital's infrastructure.

In order to combat air pollution, the comprehensive plan, which calls for building new roads, fixing sewers, managing solid waste, and increasing green space, is anticipated to pick up steam in the upcoming weeks.

The initiatives will be carried out under the Solid Waste Management Scheme, the Infrastructure Fund, and the Air Quality Improvement Scheme. The government has approved ₹76 crore for air quality improvement, ₹173 crore for trash management, and ₹160 crore under the Infrastructure Fund.

₹100 crore would be used to build transfer stations for rubbish sorting and processing in order to boost the waste management system. ₹134 crore will go towards the road construction projects.Numerous development projects are planned to address pollution, enhance cleanliness, and upgrade the city's infrastructure.

Under the Marg Prakash Yojana, the proposed spending consists of ₹60 crore for road repairs, ₹30 crore for improvements to important roads, ₹60 crore for drain construction and repair, ₹39.44 crore for improving street lighting, and ₹23.32 crore for installing street lights in 88 villages.
