The building of the Kukrail Night Safari and Adventure Park in Lucknow is scheduled to start next month by the Uttar Pradesh government. According to the state government, the project will be developed in two phases and has an estimated budget of more than Rs 1,500 crore. It is anticipated that the initiative will benefit local companies and increase tourism.
The Rs 631 crore first phase is scheduled to start in April and should be finished in 24 months. With 38 animal cages showcasing species like lions, tigers, leopards, bears, deer, reptiles, and birds, the night safari will take place across 34.59 lakh square meters (855.07 acres) of the Kukrail forest.
A 7D cinema, an administration block, an art gallery, a grand entry gateway, and an entertainment activity area are just a few of the amenities that will be included in phase one construction. To accommodate workers at the site, the project will also include staff housing complexes, a veterinary clinic, and a cafeteria.
With running lines and specialised storage for efficient operation inside the enclosures, a tram service will be implemented. The project will also build parking lots, drainage systems, walkways, and highways. The Planning Department created the master plan, which includes staff housing complexes like a director's bungalow and a veterinarian's bungalow.
The day zoo will also move from Hazratganj to the Kukrail woodland region in conjunction with the night safari or nocturnal zoo in Kukrail. After the construction is finished, this moving will take place.
