The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the rescheduling of Match between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) as the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) season gets underway. Originally scheduled for Sunday, April 6, the KKR vs. LSG IPL 2025 match has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 8, at 3:30 PM IST.
This comes after the Kolkata Police asked the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) to deploy officers throughout the city because of the celebrations. The adjustment was confirmed by BCCI honorary secretary Devajit Saikia, who cited security concerns because of the citywide celebrations.
This move is in line with BCCI's continuous efforts to guarantee the tournament runs smoothly while giving safety and logistics top priority. Fans who plan to attend the Eden Gardens game are encouraged to check for any updates on stadium admission policies and ticket availability.
Due to this change, there will only be one game on April 6—Sunrisers Hyderabad vs. Gujarat Titans at 7:30 PM. On April 8, there will be two matches: KKR vs. LSG in the afternoon at Eden Gardens, and Punjab Kings vs. Chennai Super Kings in the evening in New Chandigarh.
