Under its IT City Scheme, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has begun construction on 1696 acres of land on Sultanpur Road to create a high-tech city. Under Invest UP, the program seeks to promote investment in the software, AI, and IT sectors. LDA has begun building and established the first site office in Mohari Khurd village.
In the first phase, the villages of Bakkas, Sonai Kanjehra, Sikandarpur Amoliya, Siddhpura, Parehta, Paharnagar Tikaria, Rakibabad, Mohari Khurd, Khujauli, and Bhatwara are among those where the land acquisition process has begun.
Approximately 265 bighas of land have so far been offered for free through land pooling by 23 landowners from four communities. Additionally, LDA has acquired 46 bighas of land in Mohari Khurd, marking a significant advancement in the project. The development of Lucknow's IT City would take place between Kisan Path and Sultanpur National Highway.
About 4000 residential plots total—1800 of which will be 200 square meters—will be included in this ambitious project. Additionally, 60 acres of commercial space and 350 acres of industrial space have been set aside. This plan will build a golf city, a green belt, and a 15-acre body of water while keeping environmental protection in mind. The Super Speciality Medical Zone, Science and Engineering Equipment Zone, Global Business Park, and Hi-Tech Technology Park are among the cutting-edge amenities.
In addition, LDA has taken strong measures to prevent unlawful plotting and has destroyed 29 such plots in the past four months. This plan will have a significant impact on employment in addition to accelerating industrial and IT development.
