In a significant stride toward modernizing Lucknow's urban and transit infrastructure, DGS Town Square is emerging as a state-of-the-art commercial project strategically located at Charbagh, one of the busiest railway junctions in Northern India.

This ambitious development is part of the Integrated Charbagh Railway Terminal Redevelopment Project, a visionary undertaking by Indian Railways and the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) to modernize and streamline passenger experience, while boosting the region’s commercial potential.

The Integrated Terminal Plan combines Lucknow NR (Northern Railway) and Lucknow Junction NER (North Eastern Railway) into a world-class multimodal hub. As part of this transformation, the rear section of Charbagh station is being redeveloped to host a new commercial ecosystem—DGS Town Square.

Developed on land released by Indian Railways for commercial purposes, DGS Town Square is envisioned as a contemporary retail and business complex. It seeks to offer passengers, city residents, and visitors a vibrant space for shopping, dining, relaxing, and transiting—all in one seamlessly connected environment.

Key Features Include:

- Seven-storey commercial building adjoining the railway terminal

- Premium retail outlets, national and international brand stores

- Dining zones, including restaurants, cafes, food courts, and quick-service kiosks

- Passenger amenities like lounges, dormitories, cloakrooms, and waiting areas

- Co-working and office spaces for transit-focused professionals and entrepreneurs

- High-end landscaping and public seating areas to offer an open plaza feel

- Airport-style design elements for passenger movement and wayfinding.

Once complete, DGS Town Square will become Lucknow’s first railway-integrated commercial district, catering to over 200,000 daily footfalls. It represents the future of urban railway stations—a place not only to catch trains, but to shop, relax, dine, and work.
