In order to establish the "Adani GEMS Schools of Excellence" throughout India, the Adani Foundation has established a strategic alliance with GEMS Education, a top worldwide K–12 education provider. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity, this project seeks to make high-quality education accessible and cheap.
The Adani family will make the first donation of ₹2,000 crore to launch the venture. Over the next three years, at least 20 schools will be opened in major cities as part of this partnership, with plans to expand to Tier II, III, and IV cities. In the academic year 2025–2026, the first school in Lucknow is scheduled to open.
The program has its roots in the social philosophy of Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group: "Seva sadhana hai, seva prarthana hai aur seva hi paramatma hai." To ensure that pupils are prepared for the future, the schools will integrate digital learning resources and research-driven teaching approaches.
One noteworthy aspect of the curriculum is its inclusiveness. For deprived pupils, at least 30% of seats in CBSE-affiliated curriculum will be provided at no cost, guaranteeing fair access to high-quality education.
The Adani-GEMS collaboration is poised to play a significant role in influencing India's academic scene by fostering holistic learning and closing educational inequalities.
