Based in Mahanagar, Lucknow, Cult The Cultural Society (CTCS) is a non-profit organization working on environmental and social issues. The society which is run by students for students was founded by Mr. Manoj Kumar and seven other promoters in 2006. On June 9, 2008, it got the status of an NGO from the Uttar Pradesh Government.

Cult The Cultural Society extends reach through its various initiatives. Here are some of them:

Rainbow Society for Differentially Abled: This is an early intervention center and provides all therapies like speech therapy, occupational therapy, parental guidance and training and physiological assessment under one roof. Children also take part in activities like soap making, candle making, stitching and making tote bags.

Snehdhara Old Age Home: Snehdhara Old Age Home provides shelter to old people who are either neglected by the family or want to live alone. It encourages old people to make candles and aggarbattis. All special occasions like anniversaries and birthdays are celebrated.

Project Himmat: Project Himmat is an initiative for menstrual hygiene which was started in 2015 by Mr. Amit Saxena, one of the promoters of the NGO who has also been given the title of ‘Padman of Lucknow.’ The aim of this project is to increase awareness about menstrual hygiene among uneducated girls in rural areas. It is also in collaboration with Nine Sanitary Napkins to provide free sanitary pads to these girls to make them realize the importance of menstrual hygiene.

Cult The Cultural Society is also affiliated to other institutions to which it extends help. They are currently functioning in Lucknow, Kerala, New Delhi and Bihar.
