UP Tourism Brings 50 Women to Explore Lucknow & Kashi!

Lucknow and Kashi are about to get a closer look from a group of women who can help take their stories far beyond Uttar Pradesh.

The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has planned a three-day familiarisation tour for 50 women entrepreneurs and digital influencers, covering Lucknow and Varanasi. The initiative is designed to introduce participants to the cities through their culture, food, heritage and local enterprises.

For Lucknow, that means putting the city's distinctive character centre stage — from its Nawabi-era architecture and traditional crafts to its famous food culture and homegrown businesses. Participants will get an opportunity to experience these attractions firsthand and share them with their wider audiences.

The inclusion of women entrepreneurs also adds a business angle to the tour, creating a platform to highlight local women-led enterprises and tourism-related opportunities alongside the city's established attractions.

The three-day journey will also include Kashi, giving participants a chance to experience the contrast between Lucknow's heritage and Varanasi's deeply rooted cultural and spiritual identity.

This initiative is another step towards promoting the city not just as a historical destination, but as a place where food, crafts, culture, entrepreneurship and experiential tourism come together.
