Boosting Uttar Pradesh's rail network, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to flag off two new Vande Bharat Express trains on November 7. The new high-speed trains will connect Lucknow to Saharanpur and Varanasi to Khajuraho.
With seven Vande Bharat trains already linking Lucknow to Delhi, Patna, Dehradun, Gorakhpur, Agra, Jhansi, and Meerut, this new route to Saharanpur marks the city’s eighth connection.
For Varanasi, this will be the sixth Vande Bharat, adding to its existing routes to Delhi (2 trains), Ranchi, Patna, and Deoghar.
Promoting regional connectivity, these semi-high-speed trains offer faster travel, modern coaches, and make journeys smoother for passengers across North India. The new trains aim to make intercity travel quicker and more convenient. For frequent travellers and daily commuters, this means shorter travel times — and a smoother ride.
