Lucknow is set to witness another landmark development as a new Vidhan Bhavan campus is planned in Sahara City, Gomti Nagar. Spread across nearly 200 acres, the ambitious ₹5,200 crore project aims to create a future-ready legislative complex equipped with modern infrastructure and world-class facilities.
The proposed campus will feature a striking lotus-inspired architectural design, reflecting both cultural symbolism and contemporary engineering. It will house a 700-seat Legislative Assembly, a 200-seat Legislative Council, and a 1,000-seat joint session hall for major legislative proceedings.
The project also includes dedicated office blocks for MLAs, government officials, and staff, along with advanced security systems, parking for around 5,000 vehicles, and helipads to support high-level government operations.
Designed to meet Uttar Pradesh's governance requirements for the next 100 years, the new Vidhan Bhavan is expected to become one of Lucknow's most significant civic landmarks while strengthening the city's role as the state's administrative capital
