Lucknow is all set for a significant urban transformation as key public spaces and iconic areas are being reimagined for better infrastructure, aesthetics, and citizen engagement.
1. Moti Park Coming Up In Aishbagh
In a move to boost green cover and create more recreational spaces, the LDA has announced the development of Moti Park in Aishbagh. Spread across approximately 6 acres, the upcoming park promises landscaped gardens, walking tracks, open-air seating, children’s play zones, and a small amphitheatre for community activities.
2. Charka Chauraha To Undergo Complete Redesign
Known for its historical relevance and high footfall, Charka Chauraha will soon be redesigned with better pedestrian pathways, upgraded road alignment, beautified roundabouts, and street furniture. The goal is to decongest traffic, enhance visibility, and create a more organized urban experience.
3. Final Look For Hazratganj Locked In
After several proposals and discussions, the final visual identity of Hazratganj, Lucknow’s most iconic shopping and heritage district, has been approved. The makeover will include uniform shop signage, restored Victorian-style street lamps, improved facades of historic buildings, and the use of stone pavements to align with Hazratganj’s classic look.
With work set to begin shortly, these efforts aim to redefine how locals and tourists experience the city — greener, cleaner, and more visually cohesive.
