Lucknow Airport Runway Repairs Extended Till August 15!

If you're flying in or out of Lucknow in the coming weeks, it’s time to double-check those flight timings. The runway repair work at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport has now been extended till August 15, 2025, and is expected to continue affecting flight schedules significantly.

Due to ongoing maintenance, flight operations will be suspended every day between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. No take-offs or landings will occur during this four-hour window. Airlines have begun adjusting schedules accordingly, with some flights being rescheduled, delayed, or temporarily cancelled.

In addition to the daily disruption, a new schedule has been introduced. Starting August 20 and continuing through November 5, 2025, the runway will be closed for a few hours every Wednesday. The exact timing of these midweek closures is yet to be officially confirmed, but the move is part of a phased maintenance plan to ensure long-term safety and efficiency of airport operations.

The runway repair project is part of a larger infrastructure upgrade aimed at strengthening runway surfaces, improving drainage systems, and preparing the airport to handle increased air traffic in the future. With Lucknow becoming a key air travel hub in North India, the airport is working to meet global standards of safety and service.
