Cricket fans in Lucknow have something exciting to look forward to as the city is set to host an international match during India’s 2026–27 home season.
According to the schedule announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Lucknow will host the first T20 International (T20I) match of the series between India and West Indies. The match is scheduled to take place on October 6, 2026, at the Ekana Cricket Stadium.
The home season will begin with a limited-overs series against West Indies starting in late September 2026. While the ODI matches will be played in other cities, the T20I leg will be hosted across venues including Lucknow, Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
This makes Lucknow one of the key cities in India’s international cricket calendar, giving local fans a chance to watch top-level action live. Matches like these not only boost the city’s sporting profile but also bring in a lively atmosphere, with packed stadiums and strong fan participation.
With more international fixtures being spread across multiple cities, Lucknow continues to grow as an important cricketing destination. As October approaches, fans can expect high energy, big hits and an electrifying match day experience.
