Great News For Lucknow Peeps With New Metro Update!

It will now be simpler to go about the city of Nawabs. The green light has finally been given to the metro that runs from Charbagh to Vasant Kunj. After being presented to the Public Investment Board (PIB) on May 2, the eagerly anticipated East-West Corridor project has been approved in principle. The only thing left to do is get the Union Cabinet's official permission. Phase-2 of the Lucknow Metro will begin construction as soon as the final sanction is obtained.

Charbagh will be the starting point of the new Lucknow Metro East-West Corridor, which will ascend to Vasant Kunj. The people on both sides of the city will benefit from this route's connection at Charbagh station with the current North-South Corridor (Amausi to Manshipulia).

The stations proposed in the new East-West Corridor are: Charbagh, Gautam Buddha Marg, Aminabad, Pandeyganj, City Railway Station, Medical Square, Chowk, Thakurganj, Balaganj, Sarfarazganj, Musabagh, Vasant Kunj.

In addition to enhancing the city's traffic system, this new corridor will provide direct access to the metro system from crowded, historic neighbourhoods like Aminabad and Chowk. In addition to providing city people with quick, affordable, and comfortable transit, this will benefit the environment. All eyes are now on the Union Cabinet's ultimate approval. This second phase of the Lucknow Metro is prepared to transform the capital's image as soon as it receives approval.
