Lucknow is gearing up for a major transformation with the announcement of its first-ever AI City. Planned in Vrindavan Yojana, this project is expected to bring a new wave of technology, innovation, and job opportunities to the city.
The AI City will be developed in Sector 15 of Vrindavan Yojana and will cover around 12 acres. The estimated cost of the project is ₹368 crore. It will be built under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, with support from the Uttar Pradesh Housing Development Council and UP Electronics Limited.
This isn’t just another real estate project. The AI City is designed as a modern business park focused on artificial intelligence, IT companies, and startups. It aims to attract tech firms, boost innovation, and create a strong digital ecosystem in Lucknow.
The project is part of a larger ₹4173 crore budget approved for 2026–27. A significant portion of this budget will go into land acquisition and development works across the state.
Alongside Lucknow, cities like Ayodhya are also getting major attention, with over ₹1000 crore allocated for development projects there. New housing schemes are also planned for cities like Varanasi and Mau.
For residents, this project could be a game changer. It is expected to:
Create new job opportunities, especially for youth
Attract IT companies and startups
Improve infrastructure and connectivity
Boost Lucknow’s image as a modern tech city
With this AI City, Lucknow is moving beyond traditional development and stepping into a tech-driven future. If executed well, it could position the city as a growing hub for artificial intelligence and innovation in North India.
Overall, this project is not just about buildings—it’s about shaping the future of Lucknow.
