The largest obstacle for youngsters hoping to become elite athletes is frequently surviving an educational system that places a greater emphasis on academics and less on athletics. As a result, promising sportsmen and sportspeople sometimes succumb to academic pressures.

As Lucknow prepares to get the first private school to be accredited with the CBSE Board, this situation is probably going to change. This new institution, which is being pushed by the same organisation that owns and runs the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari International Cricket Stadium (Ekana) Stadium, will be distinct from the government-run Guru Gobind Singh Sports College.

A sports professional who is aware of the development stated that it will be a private school with facilities of an international calibre and that children (KG through Class 12) will receive their education under the close supervision of qualified coaches and dieticians.

The project is expected to be finished by October of this year, with construction having started last month. The school will have a four-story structure and occupy 2.5 acres. Classes will start in the 2026–2027 academic year, and it will be a coeducational institution. They have already submitted applications to the CBSE Board for affiliation and other requirements.

The school will provide choices for day scholars as well as residential students. During the day, residential students will attend academic classes, while day scholars will engage in their preferred sport. The sports facilities will be used by hostellers when day scholars depart. This timetable will enable the coaching staff to keep a close eye on each student's development.
