First Night Safari In Lucknow To Begin By 2026, All Deets Here!

According to sources, by December 2026, India's 1st and the world's 5th night safari will be operational in Lucknow. By June 26, the Uttar Pradesh government hopes to have India's first night safari in Lucknow completed, and by December 2026, the facility should be open to guests.

The chief minister chaired a high-level conference and said that the 900-acre safari would have a café, auditorium, 7D theatre, and plenty of parking, among other amenities. The Central Zoo Authority (CZA), which is examining the DPR, has given the proposal its in-principle approval. The CM stressed the creation of a sustainable model for the night safari and zoo's economics and asked officials to finish the construction process by June 2026. By December 2026, Uttar Pradesh will present the nation with its first night safari.

The Indian Walking Trail, Indian Foothill, Indian Wetland, Arid India, and African Wetland are some of the themed areas that will be constructed for the night safari area. Visitors can use a 1.92km trail and a 5.5km tramway to explore the night safari park.

The Asiatic Lion, Gharial, Bengal Tiger, Flying Squirrel, Leopard, and Hyena will be the primary attractions of the night safari. A top-notch wildlife hospital and rescue centre will be one of the additional attractions, and a zoo with sixty-three enclosures will be constructed in the Kukrail forest area.

When the project is finished, the CM hopes it will be listed on the global tourism map, drawing in foreign visitors as well. Additionally, the facility would be connected to other Lucknow tourism attractions. The 'Adventure Zone' should have attractions such as a zip line, Burma bridge, pedal boats, sky roller and kid-friendly activities with animal themes.
