Lucknow, a city known for its rich cultural heritage comes alive in the month of December with cultural fests, bringing together artisans from all parts of India. One such event happening in the city is the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar and this one is a must visit if you want to get your hands on authentic Indian handicrafts.
The Gandhi Shilp Bazaar is on from December 13 – December 22 2024. The superbly curated event is an initiative under the Buldelkhand Mega Cluster Program, sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles. The bazaar serves a melting pot of creativity featuring handlooms, pottery and handcrafted jewellery.
Visitors can go on a shopping spree and get their hands on authentic handicrafts. Everything from Chikankari embroidery, Pashmina shawls from Kashmir, Madhubani paintings from Bihar, terracotta art, jewellery, household items, ceramics and home décor items are available at the exhibition.
Each stall reflects the artist’s skill that goes behind the products, preserving traditions passed down through generations.
Not just this, there are many food stalls at the event too from all over the country that offer delectable flavours and an opportunity to relish in different kind of food after you are tired from holding the shopping bags.
