Lucknow to Host 69th National U-17 Athletics Meet from Dec 13

Lucknow will host the 69th National Athletics Championship 2025-26 for boys and girls under 17 from December 13 to 17. Organised by the School Games Federation of India, the five-day meet will feature around 2,000 athletes from across the country.

The athletes will be competing in 19 events, including sprints, middle- and long-distance races, relays, long jump, high jump, shot put, javelin, and a 5,000-meter walk for boys.

A review meeting chaired by District Magistrate Vishak G ensured all arrangements are on track, including accommodation, food, transportation, security, medical units, and field preparations. Officials also discussed cleanliness, fogging, ambulance services, firefighting, and emergency protocols at the sports complex.

As per reports, a 24x7 control room will supervise the smooth functioning of the championship, ensuring a safe and seamless experience for all athletes and officials. The event promises to be a major highlight for the city, showcasing young athletic talent on a national stage.
