Lucknow is getting a new reason to experience theatre — and this time, the stage is inside a museum.
LMHA x The Matinee Theatre is launching Peshkash: The Theatre Circle, a new live performance series that brings intimate theatrical storytelling to the Lucknow Museum of Heritage & Art (LMHA).
The first edition will present an English adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s The Bear on September 6, 2026, from 5 PM to 7 PM. A sharp, fast-paced one-act comedy, the play explores love, pride, grief and the unexpected ways attraction can emerge from conflict.
With just 50 seats available and tickets priced at ₹300, Peshkash is deliberately keeping the experience intimate — putting the audience close to the performers and the story.
Located opposite the Clock Tower and next to the Hussainabad Food Court in Old Lucknow, LMHA provides an atmospheric setting for a theatre series that promises to bring together heritage, performance and storytelling in a distinctly local experience.
