In a significant move to improve passenger convenience and urban mobility, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ride-hailing major Uber. The agreement was signed at Hazratganj Metro Station in Lucknow, marking a step forward in ensuring seamless last-mile connectivity for metro commuters.

Under this partnership, Uber will integrate its services with Lucknow Metro, enabling passengers to easily book cabs and autos for their onward journey from metro stations. This collaboration is expected to reduce travel time, offer safer commuting options, and enhance the overall metro travel experience.

A 50% discount (up to ₹20) is available to passengers who book Uber rides from any of the 21 Lucknow Metro stations.

The initiative aligns with UPMRC’s commitment to making metro travel more commuter-friendly and sustainable. By bridging the gap between public transportation and personal mobility, this partnership aims to encourage more people to use metro services as their primary mode of urban travel.

This MoU sets a new precedent for integrating public transport with modern mobility solutions, making Lucknow a model for smart and connected urban transit in Uttar Pradesh.
