The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow have teamed together to provide a joint postgraduate program in healthcare management. The institutes created a joint postgraduate course by fusing cutting-edge medical technology with management principles in response to the growing demand for leadership in the healthcare sector.
This strategic alliance intends to combine cutting-edge medical technologies with management principles in order to meet the growing need for effective leadership in the healthcare industry.
In the presence of top faculty members from both institutions, the MoU was signed by Manindra Agrawal, the director of IIT Kanpur, and Archana Shukla, the director of IIM Lucknow. Distinguished attendees from IIM Lucknow included Associate Professor of Strategic Management Kshitij Awasthi and Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management Girish Balasubramanian. The leaders of the Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology, Sandeep Verma, and Associate Dean of Research & Development, Jayandharan G. Rao, represented IIT Kanpur.
A variety of professionals, including physicians and healthcare workers in public hospitals, are the target audience for the Postgraduate Program in Healthcare Management. Students will be equipped to drive innovations in healthcare delivery and innovation by integrating medical technology skills with business administration knowledge in the program.
IIM Lucknow believes that this collaboration would greatly advance healthcare management research and education, which will serve to produce people who can support the development of a more robust and creative healthcare system in India.
