Travelling between Lucknow and Delhi-NCR just became more convenient. Noida International Airport in Jewar has officially launched direct flights to Lucknow as part of its new domestic network connecting 16 cities across India, giving passengers another travel option beyond Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The airport has begun commercial operations with direct services to major destinations including Lucknow, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jammu, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Bareilly, Amritsar, Dharamshala and Pantnagar. Leading airlines such as IndiGo and Akasa Air are operating on these routes, improving domestic connectivity for both business and leisure travellers.

In a significant milestone, the first commercial flight to arrive at Noida International Airport was an IndiGo service from Lucknow, marking the beginning of regular operations. The airport also celebrated its inauguration by flying 170 local farmers from the Jewar region to Lucknow, recognising their contribution to the airport's development.

For travellers from Lucknow, the new route offers easier access to Noida and western Uttar Pradesh while reducing dependence on Delhi's busy airport. As one of India's largest greenfield airport projects, Noida International Airport is expected to expand rapidly with future international services and improved road, rail and metro connectivity, making it an important new aviation hub for Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital Region.

The launch of these direct flights is expected to boost tourism, business travel and regional connectivity, offering Lucknow residents greater flexibility and faster access to one of India's newest world-class airports.
