The Lucknow Green Corridor is set to get a major boost — a new link between Samatamulak Crossing and Nishatganj is likely to open by December 15, 2025, according to Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). This upgraded stretch promises to halve travel time along one of the city’s busiest commuter routes.

The new link features two bridges, a widened embankment, and upcoming rotaries — designed to ease the chronic congestion on the old narrow road, especially during peak hours.

Under Phase 2 of the Green Corridor, LDA is completing three major works worth ₹130 crore: a 240-metre, six-lane bridge over the Kukrail river; a widened 1.10 km embankment plus an 18-metre wide road connecting Kukrail to Nishatganj; and a new six-lane Nishatganj bridge.

Once operational, this link will improve connectivity between central and north Lucknow, offering daily commuters a smoother, faster route. LDA has also ordered beautification and horticulture work along the corridor to enhance commuter experience.

For residents of Lucknow, the new Samatamulak–Nishatganj link under the Green Corridor means less time stuck in traffic and more efficient travel across the city.
