The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL)—the hospitality giant behind the Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger brands—will now take over the management of this storied property.
For over five decades, Clarks Avadh has been a symbol of elegance in Lucknow. With its prime location in Hazratganj and panoramic views of the Gomti River, it has been a popular choice for dignitaries, weddings, conferences, and travelers seeking luxury.
Now, under IHCL’s SeleQtions brand, the hotel will join a curated collection of unique properties known for celebrating heritage, culture, and individuality. Along with Clarks Avadh, three other iconic Clarks properties—Clarks Shiraz (Agra), Clarks Amer (Jaipur), and Clarks Khajuraho—are also being integrated into IHCL’s network.
While IHCL’s entry is expected to enhance service standards, refurbishments, and global marketing, regular guests are hopeful that the hotel will remain accessible at familiar price points. The SeleQtions branding suggests that Clarks Avadh will retain much of its identity while being elevated with IHCL’s operational excellence.
