The world's largest Gujiya, which weighed 6 kg and measured 25 inches, was created by the famous Lucknow sweet shop, Chhappan Bhog, which made history by being inducted into the India Book of Records. The enormous treat, known as "Baahubali Gujiya," was revealed at a function held at Phoenix Palassio Mall before Holi.
The idea behind this creation was discussed by Kshitij Gupta, Marketing Head of Chhappan Bhog, who emphasised Gujiya as a representation of India's rich cultural diversity. He said, “Gujiya represents Vasudev Kutumbakam, the idea that the world is one family. The Baahubali Gujiya reflects our culture by incorporating the colors of various festivals, including Holi, Ramzan, and India’s recent cricket victory.”
Chhappan Bhog's entry was verified by Pramil Dwivedi, the official Executor of the India Book of Records, who said, "This Gujiya breaks previous records with a weight of 6 kilograms and a length of 25 inches." According to our investigation, no one had previously created a Gujiya this size.
Priced between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000, the Baahubali Gujiya represents India's culinary legacy and is made with high-quality ingredients including saffron, almonds, khoya, raisins, and other fruits. Chhappan Bhog's amazing invention sets a new benchmark for festive delicacies with its superb artistry and culinary skill.
