Lucknow, get ready for a weekend of stories, ideas and conversations! The Metaphor Lucknow Litfest 2026 is returning for its 14th edition on November 28 and 29 at Le Press, Hazratganj, and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali is among the names making this edition extra exciting.
Known for films like Jab We Met and Rockstar, Imtiaz Ali is returning to the city, but what he’ll be talking about at the festival remains a mystery for now. The organisers have teased his return with a throwback to his last Lucknow visit, when he explored the city’s streets and, naturally, made time for some biryani.
Now, we’re curious: what brings him back this time?
Over the years, Metaphor Lucknow Litfest has brought together celebrated authors, poets, filmmakers and thinkers for conversations that go beyond books. Its 14th edition promises another opportunity for Lucknow’s literature and culture enthusiasts to discover new ideas and hear compelling stories. Even though the entire line-up and event schedule has not been released yet, we're all hooked to know more about this annual festival celebrating literature, cinema, art and more!
So, mark your calendars, Lucknow! Two days of thought-provoking conversations, creative voices and a little Imtiaz Ali intrigue await this November.
