Okay Lucknow, December just got a whole lot more interesting. Repertwahr Season 14 is officially coming to the city from December 17 to 25, and if you’ve been waiting for an excuse to make plans around art, music, theatre, comedy and good food, this might just be it.
The annual festival, which began in Lucknow as a theatre festival in 2009, has grown into a much larger celebration bringing together theatre, music, literature, stand-up comedy, food and curated shopping experiences. Here's all you need to know about Repertwahr Festival 2026!
The first leg runs from December 17 to 20 at Janeshwar Mishra Park, where the festival will bring together literature, music, stand-up comedy, food and a marketplace.
Think of it as the kind of place where you can arrive for one thing and somehow spend the entire evening there — catch a performance, discover a story, grab something to eat, browse the pop-ups and then realise you’ve been there for hours.
And honestly, that is very Repertwahr.
From December 21 to 25, the festival moves to Sangeet Natak Akademi, shifting the spotlight towards theatre and live performances.
The venue is particularly fitting for the second half of a festival built around performing arts. Sangeet Natak Akademi is India’s apex institution for the preservation and promotion of music, dance and drama.
Here’s the part that will have Lucknow checking Instagram every five minutes: the Season 14 line-up is yet to be announced.
The official Repertwahr website currently says the 2026 line-up will be announced soon, so the artists, shows and performances are still under wraps.
But the dates are locked — and that means it’s officially time to save December 17–25.
Because whether you're a theatre regular, a live-music person, a comedy fan, a literature nerd, a foodie or simply someone who likes discovering what's happening around Lucknow, Repertwahr is one festival you’ll want on your December calendar.
Now all that’s left to ask is: Lucknow, are you ready for Season 14?
